Alcohol, speed possible factors in deadly I-71 accident

One man is dead but his four passengers escaped injury after an accident on I-71 northbound on the West 25

th

Street entrance ramp.

Timothy Edwards, 44, was driving a 1996 Cadillac northbound on the ramp when he lost control, striking two trees on the side of the road. The accident happened around 6 a.m. Saturday.

Preliminary investigation indicates he was speeding and alcohol may have been a factor. No seatbelts were worn by anyone in the car.

Edwards was taken to

where he died. The four passengers were not hurt.
