LAKE COUNTY, OH (WOIO) - The Lake County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a series of robberies that occurred in Painesville and Perry Twp.'s.
On 12/20/14, an unknown white male entered the Marathon gas station at 2501 N. Ridge Rd. in Painesville Twp.
The suspect was described as a white male in his 20's wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, green cargo pants and white shoes with a black sole that extends over the tip of the front of the shoe. He wore gloves and pulled a knit cap over his face that he had cut to eye holes in to conceal his identity. No money was taken and the suspect left after the clerk refused to comply.
Then the day after Christmas, the same man entered the Lakeside Fuel gas station at 3389 N. Ridge Rd. in Perry Twp. He was wearing all of the same clothing except he was wearing a camouflage hooded jacket instead of a red sweatshirt.
Police say the suspect again threatened the clerk but this time he made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise.
Two hours later, the same suspect also robbed the Convenient Food Mart at 1520 Madison Ave. in Painesville Twp. He entered the business and demanded money, which the teller gave without hesitation and the suspect left.
