LORAIN, OH (WOIO) - If you're still trying to get to Dallas for the Buckeyes' match-up with the Oregon Ducks for the National Title, you're running out of options
in the air as tickets are snapped up and getting very expensive. Another mode of transportation that is also getting harder to find: rented RVs.
"This is a Class A motor home. You've got about ten people can go in here. This is the biggest one you can rent from us," Angela Dudziak
explained as she opened the door to a beautiful RV at Neff Brothers in Lorain.
The cost: $2250 for five nights.
"This is traveling in style," she said as she smiled.
Just imagine you and your Buckeye buddies renting and piling into this RV and heading to the National Championship in Dallas, an 18
"We got into work after the long holiday break and the phones just started going off the hook," Dudziak said about their surge in business.
These aren't your daddy's RVs. Complete with multiple flat screen TVs, standup shower, full kitchen and slide-outs for more room.
There's a queen bed in the back. The kitchen table and couch fold into a bed. There's even a place to sleep right above the driver's seat. The best part is with gas near $2.00 a gallon it's estimated that fuel will cost around $600 round trip.
"You don't have to worry about the hotel room. You've got the tailgating right there."
You do not need a special driver's license to get behind the wheel and the generator will run the whole RV so you don't need to plug
"They can find a camp ground, a Walmart parking lot, they could go to a truck stop, get an RV pass to tail gate right there," said Dudziak.
Perhaps the best part about all of this is it's been a business boon for a local company that's normally pretty cold in the winter.
"Oh this is great. This is that punch in the arm that we need in January so very nice."
