Kevin Love launches new volunteer program

Cleveland Cavaliers forward, Kevin Love launched a new volunteer project at East Tech High on Tuesday.

The unite4:good foundation is an internationally recognized organization committed to creating a global, social movement toward positivity and acts of kindness.

The East Tech pilot project, to be called spreadlove4:good, s designed to inspire East Tech's students to perform acts of kindness and volunteerism in a way that is fun, educational and competitive.

Teams and individual participants will earn points for each act of kindness and volunteerism during spreadlove4:good program, which will run from January through April 2015. At the end of the project, everyone who participates will receive rewards based on the number of points accrued. The team and individuals who have made the biggest impact will receive a special prize.

Founder of the unite4:good Foundation, Anthony Melikhov and East Tech Principal, Paul Hoover also spoke at the event.
