VIDEO: Blatt on getting new guys acclimated

Blatt on getting the team acclimated

head coach David Blatt spoke to media on Thursday.

Blatt talked about getting the new guys acclimated saying, "I think that's one of the benefits of being on this trip, we'll have nine days together and we'll have a chance to practice because we'll have days in between. We really haven't had much practice time in the last month, and that together with the fact that we missed so many players has made it tough, but this is a real god chance to grow the team and to incorporate the new guys in the right environment."

The Cavaliers acquired guards J.R Smith and Iman Shumpert from the New York Knicks. The Cavs also acquired center Timofey Mozgov from the Denver Nuggets.

Blatt also explains newly added Timofey Mozgov's skill set in the video. Blatt said he is anxious to get out there and looking forward to the west coast trip.

The Cleveland Cavaliers begin a five game west coast trip against the Golden State Warriors on Friday. The Cavs will return home to take on the Chicago Bulls on Monday, January 19.

The Cavaliers expect LeBron James to return to action during the west coast trip. James has missed the last six games due to a back injury.
