(WOIO) - Cities are beginning to issue parking bans, due to the amount of snow some areas have received or are expecting.

Cuyahoga Falls - Mayor Don Walters would like to alert residents and motorists to a citywide parking ban which will be in effect starting at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, January 9, 2015 through 6:00 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015. The parking ban is needed to assist our street crews in clearing off roadways. Cars parked on city streets will be ticketed and are subject to towing.

Bedford - When snow accumulations exceed two inches, a parking ban is put into effect. No parking on any city streets. It is the property owner's responsibility to clear snow from the sidewalk. In addition, we request residents clear fire hydrants in front of their homes.

Medina - County has issued a Level 1 snow emergency. Roadways are hazardous with ice and blowing/drifting snow. Drive very cautiously.

Ashland - Sheriff E. Wayne Risner has issued a Level 2 Snow advisory for Ashland County. Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads may also be very icy. Only those who feel it is necessary to drive should be out on the roads. Contact your employer to see if you should report to work. Motorists should use extreme caution.
