An online campaign to help a puppy found shot in the Metroparks has been a success.

Someone shot a Siberian Husky with a BB gun and left him to die on Monday. He was dumped in the Cleveland Metroparks in the snow and freezing temps.

The BB is still lodged in his belly. He also has a birth defect that makes it difficult for him to swallow food.

A ranger dispatcher volunteered to become an emergency foster mom, but now she's also trying to save his life.

The puppy needs an expensive surgery on his stomach. A gofundme account has been set up to raise $5,000 for the surgery. The online campaign has been successful, surpassing its goal of $5,000.

An appointment has been scheduled for the pup on Jan 21. at the OSU vet hospital. Dispatcher Denise Tharp has named him Brutus, and may ultimately adopt him.
