Police hunt for suspects in Lorain shooting

LORAIN, OH (WOIO) - The Lorain Police Department is offering a reward for information which leads to the arrest and prosecution of the suspects in the shooting of Marcus Delaney on Gary Avenue.  

On Tuesday December 23, 2014 at 10:43 p.m. Lorain Police received multiple calls of gunshots in the 3900 block of Gary Ave. in South Lorain.  

Responding officers arrived and found 33-year-old out-of-state resident Marcus Delaney lying in a front yard. Delaney, who was in town visiting relatives, was going to a party on Gary Ave. when he saw two men. The three men exchanged words and one of the suspects pointed a gun at Delaney and started shooting. 

Delaney was hit in his left side. He collapsed in a front yard and the suspects fled north on Gary Ave. 

Delaney began calling for help and neighbors called police. He was flown to Metro Health Hospital where he underwent surgery and is now listed in fair condition.

Descriptions of the suspects were 2 black males in their 20's. One 5'7” “skinny” wearing a gray and black jogging suit with a puffy vest overtop. The second male was described a 6'0” 165lbs wearing black hooded sweatshirt and pants. Suspects remain at large.
