Akron man shot after car accident

AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

Akron Police Officers are looking for the suspects who shot a 22-year-old man multiple times after a car accident.

The crash happened around 3:00 p.m. Monday near the intersection of  Inman Street and Clifford Avenue.

Shortly after the accident, the victim, William Congrove Jr., managed to flag down a cruiser near Brown Street and Courtney Place and get help.

Congrove told the officers after the minor accident, one of the suspects fired several shots at him. The shooter and a second suspect then fled the scene in a newer silver or gray vehicle with damage to the driver's side.

The officers called paramedics who transported Congrove to Akron City Hospital. His injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
