WICKLIFFE, OH (WOIO) -

Wickliffe Police say a woman pinned Tuesday between a car and a pole has died.

It happened around 11 a.m. at Sweet Berry Fresh Market on Euclid Ave.

An 81-year-old Highland Heights man and his wife, 74-year-old Margaret Tilly, were in the parking lot when an out-of-control car backed towards them striking Margaret.

Bystanders, police officers, and firefighters lifted the car and Mrs. Tilly was pulled free. She suffered extensive injuries and was taken to Lake West Hospital and later transferred to a level one trauma center for treatment where she passed away.

Her husband was not injured.

This incident is still under investigation.
