Drug unit dismantles two marijuana growing operations

CUYAHOGA FALLS, OH (WOIO) -

Two marijuana operations have been dismantled thanks to the Summit County Drug Unit

On Thursday, January 22, a search warrant was conducted at the first grow operation located at 347 Lincoln Ave in the city of Cuyahoga Falls. At this location, the drug unit seized 30 mature plants, approximately $2,000 and marijuana grow equipment. 

Thomas D. Coffman III, 36, of Cuyahoga Falls was arrested and charged with cultivation and illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs. Additional charges are pending for additional suspects.

The second grow operation was located at 245 East Bath Road in Cuyahoga Falls. At this location, law enforcement officials seized 55 starter plants, 40 mature plants, approximately $8,000-$10,000 in cash and marijuana grow equipment.

Charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
