ODOT prepares for a blast of winter this weekend

GARFIELD HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) - According to the First Alert Storm Team we're in for another blast of winter weather this weekend. 

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 12 snowplow drivers will be out in full force. With a short break in the weather today, crews will be looking over equipment to ensure it is prepared. 

Beginning Saturday, January 24 at 10 p.m. snowplow drivers in Cuyahoga County will begin their shift and at midnight drivers in Lake and Geauga counties will do the same. 

A total of 80 snowplows will be salting and treating roads prior to and during this upcoming snow event in Cuyahoga, Lake and Geauga counties. Crews will work around the clock to clear the roads until this event is over.
