LIVERPOOL TOWNSHIP, OH (WOIO) - is investigating a one vehicle fatal crash that occurred on January 24, around 1:16 a.m., in Liverpool Township, Medina County.
Authorities say that 28-year-old Michael Setliff, of Elyria, was driving a grey 2003 Honda Accord, traveling west on SR 303 near mile post 4.
The vehicle approached a hill near a railroad crossing and went airborne after traveling over the tracks.
When the vehicle landed, it went off the left side of the roadway, striking multiple mailboxes.
Setliff's car ended up traveling into a private business parking lot, striking two parked semi-trucks head-on.
Valley City Fire EMS arrived on scene and pronounced Setliff dead.
The Medina County Sheriff's Department and Rich's Towing also responded to the accident.
Investigators said Setliff was not wearing a seatbelt and speed is a suspected factor.
The crash remains under investigation.
