The NBA announced on Monday that Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played on Monday, January 19, through Sunday, January 25.
This is the third time this season that James has earned the award, as well as the 48th time in his career. James led the Cavaliers to a perfect 4-0 record this past week. James averaged 27.8 points on .506 shooting from the field, 6.3 rebounds, 6.8 assist and 2.3 steals in 34.3 minutes per game.
The All-Star scored 34 points, seven rebounds, five assist in the 108-98 win over Oklahoma City on Sunday.
On the season James is averaging 26.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 7.4 assist a game
Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors was named the Western Conference Player of the Week.
