Police release image of vehicle similar to car involved in deadly hit and run

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) -

Shaker Heights Police have released images of a vehicle similar to the 1998 Toyota Avalon XL that was involved in a deadly hit and run Saturday evening.  Police hope you can help with any information about the vehicle's route, the crash or the driver.

Police say someone was driving the Toyota recklessly near Warrensville Center Road and South Park Boulevard, after running from a traffic stop in University Heights.

The driver hit and killed 51-year-old James Caffrey, who was out for a run on South Park.

The driver took off on foot after the collision.

James Caffrey was a teacher at Woodbury Elementary in Shaker Heights and a well known runner in his community.
