Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon writes letter to NBA legend Charles Barkley and to other doubters in the media.
Gordon tweeted, " To my judge & jury, here's my testimony. My debut for @TheCauldron". In 2011, Gordon was suspended at Baylor for failing a drug test, he would transfer to Utah but sat out the 2011 season and declared for the 2011 Supplemental Draft.
In 2013, the NFL announced that Gordon would be suspended for two games due to violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.
In 2014, Gordon would be suspended for the full season for a failed drug test, Gordon would appeal, blaming the failed test on second hand smoke. The appeal would be denied. The NFL passed a new substance abuse policy that would allow Gordon to play final six games of the 2014 season.
The most recent was this week when he tested positive for alcohol and is facing a one-year ban.
NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley said he fears for Gordon's life if he doesn't change his ways. Gordon took it upon himself to respond to Barkley and others concerned, such as Cris Carter and Stephen A. Smith.
