CPD Officer arrested again on domestic violence charges

The Cleveland Division of Police Internal Affairs Unit arrested CPD Officer David Anderson, 51, for kidnapping, domestic violence, and intimidation. He was taken into custody without incident.

Anderson was arrested in December 2014 and arraigned just three weeks ago on domestic violence, stalking and menacing charges. He pleaded not guilty to shoving his girlfriend to the ground, knocking her out twice, and shoving her down the steps cutting her head. He was released on $25,000 bond.

Anderson has been suspended from duty without pay during the investigation.
