Northeast Ohio neighbors dig out from weekend winter blast

LAKEWOOD, OH (WOIO) - Residents worked for hours to dig themselves out of all the snow that covered northeast Ohio this weekend.

Neighbors on Hathaway Avenue in

were in for a surprise when they came outside and saw their street, homes and cars blanketed in snow. Jordan Williams says she should have prepared better.

"I knew it was coming I guess. I just wasn't, I was poorly prepared with parking on the street," says Jordan.

Jordan's roommate Christian Litchney says she does not mind the snow, but does not like shoveling. She says she has a better plan for the next snowfall.

"Stop a gentleman who has a plow at the end of their pickup trucks and flag them down. Tell them the address," says Litchney.

Sue Speer shoveled her driveway alone. She knows she can't do it all at once, but she's determined to get it done.

"It's so much work when you're working and you have to come home and shovel. It's just a lot, it's time consuming," says Speer.
