Cleveland Browns general manager Ray Farmer faces sanctions if the NFL finds that Farmer sent text messages to the coaching staff during games.

Farmer is facing a suspension and the Browns could be fined and even lose draft picks.

ESPN Cleveland reported on Wednesday that an unnamed source said Farmer texted coaches in the coaches' box during games to complain about play calls and usage of players.

The NFL began their investigation for the alleged texting on January 6. The investigation may conclude as soon as this week.

The Browns have had their share of issues during the off season with Josh Gordon being suspended for at least one year, and Johnny Manziel checking himself into a rehab facility.

The Browns finished the 2014 season with a 7-9 record and currently have ten picks in the 2015 draft, including two first round picks (12th and 19th overall).
