Funeral arrangements have been made for the two-month-old baby who police said was beaten to death by a family friend.
Zuri Whitehead will be laid to rest Saturday at 10 a.m. February 14 at the Lion of Judah church located at 15716 Broadway Avenue.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the Ferfolia Funeral Home on Lee Road in Maple Heights.
Police say an 11-year-old is responsible for the child's death. Zuri was beaten while in the care of her mother's good friend. Autopsy reports listed the cause of death as blunt force trauma. The Cuyhahoga County Medical Examiner ruled her death a homicide.
Zuri's family is asking the public's assistance to raise funds to finalize the arrangements. A benefit fund has been set up in the baby's honor. All donations can be submitted to:
