WICKLIFFE, OH (WOIO) - , along with five other departments, responded to a house fire on Harding Drive in Wickliffe around 7:45 p.m. Thursday.

Fire Chief Jim Powers says that when crews arrived, they found a man with severe burns in the street. That man was taken to

and is now being flown by helicopter to

.

A total of seven people lived in the home. All are being cared for by the

or by family.

A majority of the fire involvement was in a bedroom above the attached garage. It extended into the attic and second floor of the home. Family says a phone charger may be to blame, but fire officials have not ruled an official cause. Fire officials are reporting $60,000 in damages.

Mutual aid was provided by Willoughby, Willoughby Hills, Euclid, Willowick, and Mentor Fire Departments. Crews were able to quench the blaze in about 30 minutes, but several hot spots broke out during the investigation.

Chief Powers says crews have more obstacles to overcome during severe cold, and that is why so many departments were called in to assist. Check back with us for more details on this developing story.
