CHICAGO (WOIO) - The All-Star break seemed to start early for the Cavaliers, who fell to the Chicago Bulls, 113-98, the final NBA game before the break. LeBron James, who's headed to New York for the annual event, threw down 31 points but also had 8 turnovers.
Derrick Rose led the Bulls with 30 points and seven assists. Pau Gasol added 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Kyrie Irving, the Cavs' other All-Star, had 17 points and seven assists.
The Cavaliers go into the All-Star break with a 33-22 record, which puts them in fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings. If the playoffs started today, the Cavaliers would be taking on the Washington Wizards in the first round of the playoffs.
The Cavaliers next game will be on Friday, February 20. They will go head-to-head against the Wizards.
