No one was injured when crews were called to an early morning house
The home is located near W. 88th and Brinsmade.
Dispatchers got the call around 6:30 a.m. When they arrived flames were shooting out of the windows.
A woman who lives in the home says she was awakened by smell of smoke. She made it downstairs but couldn't get to the door so she decided to jump out of a first floor window. She was not hurt and neighbors came to her assistance.
Houses on both sides suffered some damage. Officials say the homeowner told them she had two space heaters running that's what she believed ignited the flames.
The official cause of the fire has not been determined.
