Cleveland Municipal Schools are closed today due to bitter cold. Other schools are closed or delayed. You can check the full list here.
Tuesday begins with more frigid, sub-zero temperatures. For the 3rd consecutive day we've tied or broken record low temperatures. The 5 AM temperature of -7 degrees ties one of our oldest (1885) standing records.
Clouds will be on the increase today but highs will rebound into the teens on light southwesterly breezes. Another arctic airmass will descend on us early Wednesday. Snow showers develop this evening and temperatures will remain well below average for this time of year. Light snow tonight will amount to little in the way of accumulation but Wednesday afternoon holds the prospect of another inch or two of "winter white" landscape covering.
