If you head down to North Coast Harbor over the weekend for the
you will catch some true artists at work in sub-freezing temperatures turning blocks of ice into something that looks almost alive in downtown Cleveland.
Aaron Costic and his talented group of artists with Elegant Ice will be all over Ice Fest 2015.
Costic says to create these beautiful frozen sculptures one must, "visualize in third dimension and you can't be afraid of the tools we use."
Costic has been creating ice masterpieces for the past 25 years.
"We start with seven blocks of ice, 2,000 pounds total. The first step is to punch out silhouettes, then we push it into levels, shape it, detail it and it's ready to go," says Costic.
Ice Fest 2015 will also include local food trucks, speed ice carving competitions, and on Sunday, a special outdoors Mythbuster's Ice and Science Show.
