A deadly crash shut down part of the Ohio Turnpike Saturday.

The Milan Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash which happened in the eastbound lanes at approximately 2:31 p.m.

The incident began near mile post 119 in Milan Township in Erie County. A total of three passenger cars and one commercial semi were involved in the crash.

Jose Ramon Leal Jr., 21,of Fremont, Ohio, died at the scene. Mr. Leal, who was not buckled up, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His vehicle then careened back onto the roadway where the vehicle was struck by two passenger cars and a commercial semi.
