Medina landscaper accused of performing shoddy work

MEDINA, OH (WOIO) - A lawsuit was announced today by Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine against John M. Capone, owner of Empire Landscaping and Irrigation. 

The lawsuit accuses the Medina based landscaping service of performing shoddy work and failure to deliver services as promised.

Capone is accused of violating Ohio's Consumer Sales Practices Act and Home Solicitation Sales Act. 

Nine consumers have filed complaints with approximately $60,000 in reported losses against the landscaper.

The lawsuit claims Capone has used other business names including J.C. & Sons and Empire Landscaping and has multiple outstanding judgments against him that are consumer transaction related.
