LORAIN, OH (WOIO) - A burned out church in Lorain is coming down with demolition crews.
First Evangelical Lutheran Church caught fire on Aug. 28, 2014. The fire badly damaged the historic church.
No one was injured, but the church suffered heavy damage including broken windows and a burned out roof and sanctuary. Also destroyed was the rare Brombaugh pipe organ.
The church had been a pillar of the community for 90 years.
The congregation hopes to build a new place of worship. A vote is expected on the motion later this month.
