A Cleveland city worker is listed in fair condition at MetroHealth Medical Center after being shot on the city's east side.

It happened around 6:30 a.m. Monday in the 4100 block of East 146th St.

45-year-old Alandis Gullatt, an employee with Water Pollution Control, says he stepped outside to let the dog out and to warm up his vehicle. That's when he says he noticed a man standing in the yard of an abandoned home just south of Gullatt's house.

Gullatt says the man fired several shots, hitting him in the hand, knee and leg.

The suspect is described as a black male, 6', medium to thin build, wearing  black sweats and a black hooded sweatshirt.

The suspect fled the scene north toward Harvard Avenue.

So far, no arrests have been made.
