The vehicle believed to be involved in Saturday's hit-skip accident on E. 9th has been recovered.

The vehicle is a blue 2008 Nissan Rogue. Police have not said where the car was found.

24-year old Daniils Mamedovs was working at The 9 Hotel downtown Saturday night. Police say he was holding the door open for a valet customer when a car going northbound on East 9th Street struck and ran over him, then took off.

He doesn't remember what happened but spoke exclusively to 19 Action News.

"My face, my body, my lower back. Can't explain how bad it is but it's pretty bad," says Mamedovs. "I usually take care of customers inside but I don't know how I ended up outside."

Police believe a woman was behind the wheel and they are still searching for the driver.

If you have any information that could help find the driver, call Cleveland Police.
