injured in a crash Thursday afternoon were released from

on Thursday night, according to Assistant Chief Michael Vatty. The third was released from Hillcrest Hospital Friday night.

One was diagnosed with multiple bruises and contusions. The other was treated and released with a concussion. Mike Zivcic, 47, and Jonathan Farley, 42, both of Chardon, have follow-up visits, but are expected to make a full recovery. They are now recovering at home.

Mike Bennett, 47, of Chardon, who was driving the fire truck, was discharged from Hillcrest Hospital Friday night. He received a fracture to this right wrist from the crash. The wrist will require surgery, once swelling is reduced. Other injuries consisted of compartment syndrome in his lower left leg, along with multiple bruises and contusions.

The driver of the GMC Acadia, Sanja Medved, 34, of Chardon, is still being treated at Hillcrest.

The driver of the Dodge Grand Caravan, Andrew Jahnke, 40, of Chardon, refused treatment at the scene.

The Munson Township firefighters were responding to a house fire in Chesterland just after 3 p.m. when they were involved in a three-vehicle accident on Wilson Mills Road.

A Dodge Grand Caravan traveling eastbound slowed and moved to the right to yield to the fire truck, but the driver of the GMC Acadia traveling eastbound did not slow in time and struck the Caravan in the rear, traveled left of center, and was struck by the westbound fire truck head on.

The accident remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and charges are pending.
