Cleveland St. Patrick's Day parade route revealed

Cleveland Police addressed safety and security concerning next week's St. Patrick's Day Parade at City Hall on Friday.

This year's parade is Tuesday, March 17 at 1:04 p.m. and the Grand Marshal is Daniel M. Corcoran. 

Participants include the Irish Civic Association, McDonald's, Great Lakes Brewing Co. and the Knights of Columbus. 

St Patrick's Day is the RTA's busiest day of the year. An estimated 100,000 customers ride the rapid to downtown events. RTA volunteers will be assisting customers at rail stations, and the RTA recommends customers bring exact change to purchase a $5 All Day Pass at the station. Transit Police will be on hand providing security, with assistance from their K-9 force. 

If you are heading downtown for the parade on Superior Avenue, be sure to leave early. Check the RTA's special webpage and follow the RTA on Twitter for updates. 

Some buses will be rerouted downtown beginning at 9:30 a.m. until the conclusion of the parade. Get more details here.
