After just one day of deliberations a Summit County jury decided to spare the life of Daniel Tighe and recommended he spend the rest of his life in prison.
The 41-year-old was convicted last month of murdering his ex-girlfriend and their 5-year-old son in 2013.
The badly decomposed bodies of Wendy and Peyton Ralston were found behind their home on Stone Creek Drive in August 2013.
Tighe was found guilty of aggravated murder, murder, domestic violence, abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence.
Judge Callahan will formally sentence Tighe on March 25.
