Two Akron natives, accused in the death of an elderly woman, have been charged with failure to provide for a functionally impaired adult.
In December of last year
received information regarding the possible neglect of an elderly woman.
It was reported that the 82-year-old, under the care of family members, had been sitting in the same spot in her home for long period of time. As a result, she developed several medical issues. The victim was transported to the hospital where she died a short time later.
An investigation by Adult Protective Services revealed that the victim suffered serious physical harm due to the lack of care.
Kathy M. Tyrity, 61, and Samantha J. Hall, 31 have since moved out of the Akron area. Arrest warrants have been issued for both.
