COVENTRY TOWNSHIP, OH (WOIO) - A Coventry Township man faces several charges after police say he drove drunk and pointed a loaded gun at Summit County deputies.
Deputies say Monday night, 30-year-old Mark Lefever reportedly threatened patrons and the owner of the Upper Deck Bar in New Franklin before driving away.
When deputies pulled over his vehicle, they say Lefever got out of the car brandishing a 12-gauge shotgun.
Deputies say he dropped the weapon but continued to give them trouble by walking back to his vehicle and putting his hands in his pockets.
Lefever was eventually taken into custody.
In his vehicle, deputies found a .38 caliber Taurus handgun, a tactical knife, open containers of alcohol and a baseball cap with "SHERIFF" written on the front.
All the firearms were fully loaded with ammunition in the chamber.
Lefever is charged with carrying a concealed weapon, improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle, aggravated menacing, operating a vehicle intoxicated, and failure to use a turn signal.
