Cleveland Indians make cover of Sports Illustrated

The

have graced the cover of a 2015

magazine.

The cover features AL Cy Young Award winner Corey Kluber and AL MVP finalist Michael Brantley with the caption, "Wait till this year"

The SI MLB Preview '15 edition features the Indians as a favorite to win the World Series in 2015 and explains why they will win their first series since 1948. Sports Illustrated created four different covers, featuring the Seattle Mariners, Kansas City Royals, and Washington Nationals. Subscribers and newsstands in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Western Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota and Nebraska will receive the Indians cover.

Twenty-eight years ago, Cory Snyder and Joe Carter made the Sports Illustrated cover, titled "Indian Uprising" where they were declared as the best team in the American League. That 1987 season the Tribe finished with a 61-101 record, which many would believe to be the cause of the "SI Jinx".

The Cleveland Indians begin their 2015 campaign on Monday, April 6 in Houston. The Indians have their home opener against the Detroit Tigers on Friday, April 10, at 4:10 P.M.
