A child is recovering after falling 15 feet out a window of a home on the city's east side. Cleveland Police say it happened at a home in the 1400 block of East 107th Street late Tuesday afternoon.

Michelle Lane says her 3-year-old son, Isaiah, was upstairs with his 5-year-old brother when he fell from a second-story window.

"My 3-year-old son climbed up on top of the bathroom sink and the window -- he opened up the window and stuck his head out a little bit and lost his footing," Lane said.

Lane says she was at work while several adults were downstairs in the house when the accident happened.

"My sister said when she came outside that he was in the backyard crawling on all fours crying and she just picked him up and brought him in the house and the ambulance and the police came," said Lane.

He was taken to Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. He did not break any bones, but did suffer some bruises and cuts.

"Everything's fine besides contusions on the front of his head. He has a bruised lip. He's complaining of pain in his back," Lane said.

Lane said at the hospital her son was talking.
