WOOSTER, OH (WOIO) - The MEDWAY Drug Enforcement Agency was called out Saturday night by the Wooster Police Department for a suspected meth lab at a house fire on West Larwill Street.
Police arrested one man, who was the only person there. A dog was also removed from the home.
Based on the evidence collected by the MEDWAY Drug Enforcement Agency and B.C.I., the smoke observed by Wooster Police Officers and the Wooster Fire Department coming from the residence was suspected to be a large buildup of chemical gases from an active meth cook. Three officers were treated and released from the Wooster Community Hospital for short term chemical gas exposure symptoms.
This was the fourth Meth Lab related incident that MEDWAY Drug Enforcement Agency handled within 54 hours, which is an alarming amount in such a short time.
This investigation continues.
