Police: First Merit Bank robber caught

LORAIN COUNTY, OH (WOIO) - Police have arrested the man they say robbed a First Merit Bank in Lorain County.

The robbery took place on March 24 at 10:45 a.m.

According to police, a man wearing a Halloween mask and a black hooded sweatshirt entered the Columbia Township bank and made off with an undisclosed amount of money.

Around 15 minutes later a Medina County Deputy Sheriff conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle matching the description of the getaway car.

Money and evidence of the crime was found inside vehicle.

The driver was identified as Larry Gore Jr. He was taken into custody and later charged with robbery.
