The Cavaliers took a four game win streak into Brooklyn Friday night but were unable to get the job done, falling to the Nets, 106-98. Joe Johnson hit a big three pointer to put the Nets up eight with just under three minutes to go in the fourth.
After Johnson's three, the Cavs were unable to come back despite a big game out of Kyrie Irving.
Irving led all scorers with 26-points but only dished out three assist. LeBron James added 24-points, nine assists and five rebounds and Kevin Love had 18-points and seven rebounds. The Cavs didn't get much production from their bench, who were only able to add a combined 20-points.
Joe Johnson and Brook Lopez both scored 20-points a piece for the Nets, who are just a half game back of the eight seed in the Eastern Conference.
The Cavs will be back in action on Sunday against the Philadelphia 76ers. The Sixers are 18-55 this season, which is good for third worst in the NBA. The Cavs will also be guarding a 15-game home win streak this Sunday at The Q.
