AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

Closing arguments are underway in the trial of a former Navy SEAL accused of lying to Bath Police about being shot by three gunmen.

Christopher Heben testified in his own defense at his trial Summit County trial.

Heben claims he was shot in the stomach by three black men in the parking lot of the Mustard Seed Market in Bath Township in March of 2013.

Heben never called 911, but drove himself to the hospital to get help.

Investigators say his story does not add up. Heben pleaded not guilty to falsification and obstruction of official business charges.

The prosecution rested Wednesday at 11 a.m. Their last witness was the lead detective on the case. During day one of testimony a Bath police officer, another patrolman and a crime analyst took the stand.
