PORTAGE COUNTY, OH (WOIO) - Deputies in Portage County arrested a 34-year-old Rootstown man for forgery.

Police say Justin Case of Rootstown would get pain medication for himself and family members by signing different doctor's signatures on prescriptions.

Case is charged with forgery, illegal processing of drug documents, and deception to obtain dangerous drugs.

Case works for a local ambulance company which allowed him access to medical facilities to get blank prescription forms.

Authorities say he wrote the prescriptions under the names of eight doctors in the Ravenna, Streetsboro, Kent and Stow areas.

Besides himself, he allegedly also wrote prescriptions for two other family members.

A pharmacist in the Ravenna area alerted police with a forged script.
