FAIRVIEW PARK, OH (WOIO) - Vandalism has hit another west side suburb. Police are looking for whoever is responsible for spray painting an apartment complex in Fairview Park.

According to Chief Erich Upperman, management at the Fairview Village Apartments notified police.

Three of the four buildings were damaged by lewd, profane graffiti. The paint is all over equipment, doors and windows.

One of the buildings with a security camera was not hit, which leads police to believe the suspect knew of the surveillance.

Betsy Turnbell and her neighbors are furious.

"It was all over the windows. There was profanity. And I was like, 'Come on. This is a nice place to live. Why are you ruining it for everyone?'" said Turnbell.

Lt. Paul Shepard says he is working to find the answer.

"It's embarrassing. And it's a nice apartment complex. And people take a lot of pride in it," Shepard says. "The fact that it's their home and they would desecrate it the way they did. That's a concern."

A $5,000 reward is being offered to solve the case.

"I hope for $5,000 that someone would turn them in, that this will come to a close," said resident Graham Richards.

Anyone with more information is urged to call Fairview Park Police at (440) 356-4415.

Vandals recently hit Bay Village homes and vehicles, but it is unknown if the two crimes are related.
