2015 NFL Draft, player profile: Marcus Mariota

The Cleveland Browns own the 12th and 19th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. This is a player profile guide of potential player the Browns can draft. Day 6 will feature Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota.

Mariota has totaled 10,796 passing yards for 105 touchdowns and 14 interceptions in his three seasons with the Ducks. The 2014 Heisman winner has also totaled at least 700 rushing yards in all three season with a combined 29 rushing touchdowns.
2014 was by far the best season that Mariota has produced throwing for 4,454 yards, 42 touchdowns and 4 interceptions, on the ground Mariota had 770 rushing yards for 15 touchdowns.

Mariota led the Oregon Ducks to the National Championship game, but would fall to the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Mariota has won the Davey O' Brien Award, Walter Camp Award, Maxwell Award, Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, CFPA Quarterback Award to go along with his Player of the Year awards.

2015 NFL Combine stats:

4.52 40-yard dash

36 inch vertical jump

121 inch broad jump

Mariota's draft stock is rising and the Browns will likely have to trade up to grab him. The Browns are in need of a quarterback and Mariota has shown he has a good head on his shoulders and is very careful with the ball when he stays in the pocket, he also adds mobility. There is growing concern that Mariota may not be NFL ready with the style he plays and not calling NFL plays in college.

The first-round of the NFL Draft takes place on April 30.
