Boil Alert lifted in Stow

STOW, OH (WOIO) - The boil alert has been lifted in the City of Stow following a hydrant valve failure on Friday.

Those who had previously been told to boil the water were given the all clear to use the city's faucet water once again as of 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 4.

The area affected was: West of Route 8 and South of Steels Corners Road. This includes the Bridgewater and Wyndham Ridge Apartment complexes. Also included were businesses in Bridgewater Plaza, McDonald's, and Circle K/Dunkin' Donuts store.

The boil alert applied to using tap water for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation.

According to the city, the valve has been repaired temporarily. Permanent repairs will be scheduled for a future date.
