A popular candy store will be busy this holiday weekend. Malley's has a new sweet treat they're selling just for Easter, so we decided to check out the new tradition.
It's more than just an experience for many
customers; it's a tradition.
Judy Kiss-Benke has her Easter sweet tooth covered and plenty of chocolates for the family.
"I like the bunnies and all of that stuff for Easter, the jelly beans and the foil wrapped ones," says Kiss-Benke.
Wall-to-wall goodies include caramel marshmallow eggs, the company's most popular treat. Another favorite is the 10 ounce milk chocolate covered bunnies, which employees say they'll sell 100,000 of by the end of the holiday.
Owner Mike Malley says it's a family affair business, as well as with their customers.
"You've got grandparents in here. Parents, little kids and it's just fun to see the tradition continue," he says.
Something new this Easter is the white chocolate covered ruby red seedless grapes. It was a first for regular customer Jaclyn Konieczka.
"Delicious!" she says as she tastes one. "This year it looks like they came out with the white covered grapes, my go to favorite."
Hopefully these customers leave enough chocolate for the Easter bunny to make his rounds.
"Just love the taste of Malley's. Wouldn't be Easter without it," says Kiss-Benke.
Employees say by the time the holiday wraps up, more than 100,000 customers will have walked through their doors.
