Snowballed: Judge gives Parma man six months to cool down

PARMA, OH (WOIO) - The man who pleaded guilty to punching an 11-year-old in the face after a snowball fight was sentenced to 180 days in jail Wednesday.

The incident happened on Feb. 11. 

According to prosecutors, Ramon Valle was upset and flew off the handle when Devon Smith threw a snowball at his daughter and hit her.

Following the fight, Devon had to go to the emergency room.  

Valle also spit in the boy's face before he beat him.  

He could have received a year in jail.
