Cleveland breaks ground on Fire Station 36

Friday, Mayor Frank G. Jackson and members of Public Safety will break ground in Mount Pleasant on the first new Fire Station to be built within the City of Cleveland in the past 25 years.

The new 15,644 square foot facility will sit on approximately half the 2.56 acre site of a former school at 3552 East 131st Street. The new LEED-certified state-of-the-art facility will house both Fire and EMS services from one central location.

The groundbreaking is scheduled for 2 p.m., if weather permits.
