Incident onboard Greyhound bus leads to I-90 closure

LAKE COUNTY, OH (WOIO) - There were tense moments on I-90 in near Painesville Friday evening.

According to the Lake County Sheriff's Office, deputies from that agency, along with Ohio State Police and Madison Township Police, were called to a Greyhound bus around 5:30 p.m. after someone reported a bomb on the bus.

The bus was headed to Cleveland from Buffalo, NY.

I-90 was shut down for hours between Vrooman Road and SR 528 while authorities evacuated passengers and investigated the situation.

No bomb was found on the bus, which was taken to another location for further investigation.

The FBI is interviewing passengers.
