Cleveland police are investigating the shooting death of 1-year-old Braylon Robinson. He was killed Sunday at a home in the 3700 block of East 63rd Street.

Police and EMS arrived at the home around 1:30 p.m. and found the toddler, who had been shot in the face. Braylon was rushed to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he died.

According to the police report, Braylon was home with his mother, 23-year-old Shanee Robinson, who was babysitting him and two young relatives, ages 3 and 1. The mother was in the room with the children facing away from them when she heard a single gunshot. When she turned around, she saw her son on the floor bleeding.

A gun was recovered from the room near the 3-year-old.

Neither of the other two children were hurt. They were released to their mother.

So far, no one has been charged or arrested. The incident remains under investigation.

"They should just put the guns away. Put them away, 'cause it's senseless," said neighbor Sharon Kinnell.

A memorial continues to grow at the home.

A gofundme account has now been set up in Braylon's name.
